NASHVILLE, Tenn. --
Gwyneth Paltrow made her live television singing debut on the 44th Annual Country Music Awards on Wednesday night in Nashville.
Dressed in a thigh-skimming black dress and ankle boots, Gwyneth took the stage at the Bridgestone Arena, where the Oscar winner sang “Country Strong,” from her upcoming movie of the same name.
Gwyneth surprised many with her performance – strumming a six-string guitar for the number, and harmonizing with country legend Vince Gill, who performed alongside the star.
At one point, Gwyneth even sang a couple of notes with no accompaniment at all.
The pretty blond smiled at the crowd at times, while at others, she closed her eyes, as she got into the music.
At the end of the number, Gwyneth giggled as she got a standing ovation from the country community, including Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and his wife – Gwyneth’s fellow Oscar winner Nicole Kidman.
Gwyneth’s film hits theaters on December 22.
